To start off the holiday we went on a date Saturday night.
Sunday evening we carved pumpkins
We think that they turned out pretty neat looking
After I got home from church we took a road trip down to Turkey Run and spent the afternoon enjoying the beautiful outdoors.
This picture doesnt really do his burn justice. It was a lot worse than it looks in this picture. It's finally starting to heal. Another thing that we did while we were there was stop for lunch. It was pretty tasty.
We stopped to look at the temple while we were there as well.
Our little set up waiting for the fireworks
Me petting a tortoise
This isnt a zoo picture, but it is our very cute cat wearing a fish hat.
She isnt the happiest ever about the situation.

On Sunday we were able to see our very good friend Julia Poorman who has recently returned from serving a mission in Guatemala. We were very excited to see her and are very happy that she is back.
Here is Julia. Minnie decided that she also wanted to be in the picture
Last week we visited with Pete's parents up in Fort Wayne. It was a really nice visit. While we were there we went to the Botanical Gardens with his mom. At the Botanical Garden there is always some kind of theme that the decor and flowers are centered around. One time when we went the theme was Wizard of Oz. This time when we went the theme was faeries and butterflies. It was really cool. They had set up little "fairy villages" around the gardens and there was a butterfly display as well. They also had little signs that were written in fairy language that you could decode and if you got them right and solved the secret message than you could enter to win a free 1 year membership. I'm not sure if we'll get the free membership but we solved the message. It said, "To see the faeries in the skies open your heart and close your eyes." or something like that. It was a little bit silly, but overall it was pretty fun.
